The founder and CEO of Mercado Libre, Marco Eduardo Galperin, announced that the leading e-commerce platform in Latin America will invest more than 2.5 billion dollars in Mexico during 2024 and 2025. This announcement was made after a meeting with President Claudia Sheinbaum and Secretary of Economy Marcelo Ebrard.

It was noted that this investment will strengthen the company's logistics infrastructure and generate significant employment. Given the meeting with the founder and the company's leaders, the estimated investment for this coming year will exceed 2 billion dollars.
Attached to the construction of a new logistics center that will be located in Hidalgo and will have a workforce of 7,000 people in addition to providing opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses.

MercadoLibre, which already has five aircraft in operation in Mexico, seeks to strengthen its logistics infrastructure in the country to improve its delivery times and expand its distribution capacity.
