Mercado Libre expands operations and invests 1,475 million dollars in Mexico in 2022

"Basically it represents 67% of all the investment we have made in the last 5 years that we are going to make this year," said David Geisen, general director of the company in the country, at a press conference.

The manager indicated that investment will be made in the logistics network, which will continue to grow and accompany the demand of the end user, for this there will be more distribution centers, more last-mile capacity, faster deliveries and all this obviously requires investment in both infrastructure and technology and people.

The manager highlighted some of the results that the company obtained in Mexico in the fourth quarter of 2021, such as achieving a growth in its net income of 96%, compared to the last quarter of 2020, the highest in the Latin American region .
