The leading global company in the pet food industry trusts Mexico and invests 100 million dollars in its Wet Pet Food Plant in Querétaro, where it will work with 12 production lines to generate nearly 40 thousand tons per year in addition to the capacity currently.

This expansion allows it to double its operating capacity, reaching a total annual production of more than 70 thousand tons, which will translate into more than 55 million Envelopes® of wet food per month, from its PEDIGREE®, WHISKAS®, CESAR® and SHEBA brands. ®.

The new facilities will have an area of 7,000 square meters and will be completed in the third quarter of 2023, and will be aligned with its global Sustainability in a Generation plan, by supplying 100% renewable electricity from the Dzilam Bravo wind farm, Yucatan, at the same as the rest of its 7 manufacturing plants in the country; and will be LEED certified.

The expansion of the Wet Pet Food Plant will be generating 100 new direct jobs, in addition to the more than 600 that will be created during the 18 months of construction.

This expansion is expected to represent a strategic investment for the company, since, globally, Mexico is among the top 10 markets for the corporate.
