Nearshoring strategies represent a growth opportunity for export manufacturing companies established in Querétaro, because it provides for the strengthening of supply chains, from the automotive to the pharmaceutical.

The president of the Export Industry Association (Index) in Querétaro, Enrique Quezada Ojeda, explained that it is necessary to guarantee that companies arrive in the North American region, if not in Mexico at least in the United States before the supply relocation processes . For this, they planned a tour in Washington, with businessmen in order to study strategies for strengthening supply chains, in the face of the rise of nearshoring.

During the tour, the Mexican delegation held meetings with the American Chamber (AmCham), a chamber of commerce, with members of the World Bank, the United States Secretary of Labor and with US legislators from the border area.
