Corporate spaces seek to generate experiences through flexibility

The architecture and design firm AEI Spaces explains that the places assigned have evolved to concepts based on flexibility and generation of experiences, leaving

behind the model of closed, semi-closed and open offices.

“The new times imply that spaces grow, change and learn like us”, explain Marta Gallo and Juliana Fernández, directors of the company.

According to an investigation by this company, new offices or workspaces will have to migrate from a business-based approach to one that generates experiences.

Spatial interactions must evolve. “Embracing the new normal just by going back to the office represents a step backwards. We must transform our perception of spaces, especially those that we assume as our own”, emphasizes Marta.

For her part, Juliana indicates that the offices must be available for the activities that people want to carry out on the site.

There are many myths about how the new offices will be, what is a reality is that the spaces must be safe, the above implies a challenge in terms of processes and production.

Given this, the innovation company Herman Miller created the OE1 line, which are functional office products with a modular design.

"The OE1 line offers a wide range of elements that can be used to generate highly varied work environments that are flexible enough to adapt," the company said in a statement.

The line features a number of essential pieces including movable tables and walls, as well as adjustable workstations.

“OE1 reduces the risk of an uncertain future for organizations, but allows employees to create optimal spaces to adapt to their work”, concludes Herman Miller.
