The Mexican construction industry increased 1% during the six-year term

When carrying out an evaluation of the development of the Mexican construction industry in the current six-year term to conclude, Luis Méndez, National President of the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC), recognized that there was an increase of 1%.

According to the manager, the growth was not optimal, since the industry was hit hard during the covid-19 pandemic.

Regarding the future administration of the elected president Claudia Sheinbaum, the leader trusts that investment will occur in various areas of tourism infrastructure, especially logistics, ports, airports and roads.

In relation to Public Private Partnerships, APP, for future investments in infrastructure, the CMIC has had a rapprochement with the president-elect, who welcomes the fact that the participation of private initiative is increasingly intense.
