According to Pedro Fernández Martínez, president of the AMPI, the real estate sector could be the driving industry for the economy after the pandemic.

However, he considered that there are sub sectors that have not recovered, such is the case of commerce and offices.
However, there are reconversion processes throughout the country that are pushing these subsectors.
Fernández Martínez estimated that, by the end of the year, the placement of loans will be above 10% and exceed 15.7% of GDP last year.
This assessment is supported by data from Infonavit, which indicates that 47% of home purchases belong to the generation of millennials, who detonate the sector.
