Javier Lemarroy, general director of the Association of Industrial Parks of the state (APIEJ), and who participated in the trade mission as responsible for promoting the attraction of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), told El Economista that there is interest in bringing Qatari capital to Jalisco to develop infrastructure projects, including industrial warehouses.

“I met with senior executives of Doha Bank, where we showed the benefits of investing, investment opportunities and returns to place capital in Jalisco and Doha Bank was very interested in establishing commercial alliances with private banks in Mexico and also promoting that clients from Qatar, from Doha, invest in Jalisco through them, in infrastructure investment projects ”, he explained.

He added that, for their part, representatives of the Qatar Financial Center showed the businessmen of Jalisco the business opportunities that Qatar has, with the aim of promoting bilateral relations in trade and investment.

“This can promote joint ventures between companies from Qatar and Jalisco and, obviously, promoting investment through the bilateral relationship so that not only Qatari companies can place capital and settle in Jalisco, but also explore the possibility of developing infrastructure projects in Qatar ”, he stressed.

The director of APIEJ also met with executives of the Al Faisal Investment Fund to whom he made known different investment projects in industrial park infrastructure.

According to the head of the Middle East Market of the Foreign Trade Directorate of the Ministry of Economic Development, during this first trade mission, Jalisco was positioned in that region of the world in which, as he said, important portfolios are already being evaluated. infrastructure.
