Jalisco outstands as an attractive industrial market for nearshoring

According to Bruno Martínez, CEO of Kampus developments and president of the association of industrial parks of the state of Jalisco (APIEJ), there are four points to highlight when talking about the strategic advantages that the state offers compared to nearshoring; connectivity, qualified labor, growth of industrial parks and sectoral ecosystems suitable to supply sectors such as manufacturing.

Martínez adds that the expansion of the Guadalajara International Airport is another important factor in terms of connectivity, since it receives more than 15 million passengers a year, which will double its capacity and in terms of cargo, it is currently the number one in volume and the second in operations in the country.

Jalisco has the Industrial corridor with the greatest dynamism and growth in recent years outside the border, only after the State of Mexico, the El Salto ixtlahuacán de los membrillos corridor is a polygon that went from 900,000 square meters in 2017 to more than 2 million square meters currently.
