In an interview with Real Estate Market & Lifestyle, the President of the Association of Real Estate Developers (ADI), Enrique Téllez Kuenzler, summarized the ideas of entrepreneurs to detonate real estate investment in various areas of the Mexican capital.
Reconversion projects in Vallejo, the investment that will be made in the capital of Mexico and on the tender to carry out a large-scale real estate project in the Historic Center, specifically in front of the Alameda Central, are activated initiatives.
The capital government is seeking to detonate the economy by favoring a meeting area with real estate entrepreneurs in search of the joint goal of starting engines.
Proof of this is the work of various agencies to speed up the permitting and licensing processes, and thus generate certainty in the market.

The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (Seduvi), the Ministry of Mobility (Semovi), with the Ministry of Administration and Finance, the Ministry of the Environment (Sedema) and the Mexico City Water System (SACDMX) interact for this.
The real estate and construction sectors, two of the great engines of the city's economy, represent about 15% of the economy and touch more than 42 economic branches, said the ADI executive.
ADI estimates that in the next three years $ 19 billion will be invested nationwide. Of these 52%, they are in the investment process, and the remaining 48% are in the process of license management, project design and prospect evaluation. Only Mexico City would represent 60% of this investment.
Just last week the news came out where the capital government launched the call for the design of a tower with 27 floors, on Avenida Juárez, which was the Treasury building and is currently unoccupied.
On this building damaged since 1985, the execution of a mixed-use project, with commerce, offices, hotel and housing, is proposed, where prominent developers will be participating.

The idea is to generate large-scale developments on the Alameda Central and the historic center would be under a balance where there is new commercial, office and housing infrastructure, so that the capital gain of their properties rises, resulting in benefits for the owners of the land.
Regarding investments in the industrial sector, the Vallejo program represents good opportunities to detonate construction.
Regarding this area, the challenge posed in the program is a conversion so that industrial, logistics, new economy issues can coexist with housing and commerce in the area, which will generate added value.
There are important opportunities throughout Azcapotzalco as a result of this rethinking of the urban vision of the industrial zone.
To conclude, the ADI director pointed out that the health issue is of the utmost importance when entering a critical moment again and the push that must be given between the capital's government, companies and citizens is what will allow economic reactivation, said Téllez Kuenzler.
