Mexico City, July 14, 2021.- Within the framework of the first ordinary session of the Self-Production Technical Committee, chaired by the Secretary of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu), Román Meyer Falcón, the National Institute of Soil (Insus ) and the Unique Housing Registry (RUV), signed a collaboration agreement to create the National Inventory of Sustainable Land.

This new digital platform will identify the lots that have land suitable for housing production and for this, the survey, operation and registration of land regularization and management actions will be facilitated.

“Through these actions, two important objectives will be achieved, that national housing agencies will be able to identify and focus their actions in a coordinated manner and that families seeking to access a subsidy to regulate their land will have a geographic viewer to know if its polygon is suitable to proceed with the regularization of the soil ”, explained Meyer Falcón.

In his message, the Undersecretary of Urban Development and Housing, Daniel Fajardo Ortiz, commented that promoting self-production allows supporting families to build a decent home and regulate their heritage, so it was agreed to have a first version of the system, in December of this year.

Meanwhile, Abril Muñoz, head of the RUV, highlighted that in the geographic tool, all registered housing actions will be seen; In addition, systems are coordinated to verify and monitor the work to enhance the operational processes.
