In the historic center of Mexico City, public and private initiative go hand in hand, where the capital's government and companies such as Grupo Carso, Presidente and City Express, hope to extend the Paseo de la Reforma corridor and build 19 new properties towards the Historic Center .

It is estimated that 21 buildings will be built, including museums, hotels, shopping centers and homes.

Among the mixed-use projects, we mention Barrio Letrán, Plaza de las Vizcaínas, Torre Porrúa, La Mariscala, Edificio de la Ex Contraloría and El Universal.

The Cacao and Chocolate museums, the Huei Tzompantli Museum and the former convent of San Diego will also be part of this initiative.

The mix of uses will include the hotel projects: Hotel Alameda, Tribute Alameda, City Express Alameda, Desarrollo Torres Alameda, Torre Revolución and Frontón.

Three commercial initiatives will echo the changes that the historic center will have with the San Carlos Building, the Pino Suárez Square and the Iturbide Passage. Residential activity will have a presence with the Balderas 34, López 13 and Dolores 3 developments.

The global project is estimated to have an investment of 8.752 million pesos, and seeks to densify and rehabilitate the area, since the companies that participate in the development of the projects must carry out infrastructure improvement works.

Currently, a competition is being developed to build a project in Juárez 92, organized by the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (Seduvi), which consists of a five-stage contest to build mixed uses with eco-technologies.

This constructive activity will generate an important change in central areas of the city where it is expected to increase the value of the land and a better quality of life will arise, driven by the adequate mix of complementary uses.
