CDMX government and private initiative announces creation of cargo logistics center

The commercialization estimate between Mexico with the United States and Canada via rail is 14% of the total cargo that will be carried between the participating nations of the T-Mec. Under this context, the private initiative and the public sector entered into a strategic alliance to generate the best cargo logistics center in the country.

The T-MEXPARK center will be a “Dry Port” that will have access roads to the Santa Lucía Airport, and will offer not only rail freight services but also passengers. It will have the Suburban Train and will facilitate logistics in industries such as tourism, textiles, construction, technological innovations and even food, among others.

The cargo logistics center seeks to become the gateway for more than 70% of the imported merchandise and which is located on the commercial corridor of the T-MEC, at the exit of the traffic complications of Mexico City and its Metropolitan Area that allows meeting local, regional and international requirements.

The alliance aims to capture at least between 1% and 3% of the total cargo, that is, to capture from 1.5 billion pesos a day to the possibility of selling more than 6 billion pesos.

José Tajonar, president of the National Association of Importers and Exporters of the Mexican Republic (ANIERM) and Alfredo Neme Martínez, project director and representative of Trust 2341, T-MEXPARK announced they celebrated the strategic partnership with which the logistics HUB is generated best located and connected charging station in the country.

Neme Martínez indicated that with this logistics center, in addition to having a state-of-the-art international airport such as the “Felipe Angeles”, the logistics services of the T-MEXPARK Multimodal Industrial Park are added.

He indicated that the industrial park is planned with the highest efficiency standards, based on cutting-edge technologies in operation, construction, process controls, merchandise and products.

There, each user will design their facilities according to their needs, thus optimizing times and costs in their logistics processes, achieving control of their merchandise and consequently, competitive prices for the final consumer.

The location of the logistics complex is invaluable, it is in the area that has received the most public resources in the last two six-year terms.

It will have a distribution center and plants specialized in grains, seeds, fuels, services for the automotive industry, food issues, specialized services, tax yards, tax warehouses, customs, which also allow generating production and transformation areas, which T -MEXPARK in conjunction with AIFA.

The importance of the new logistics HUB in terms of job creation was also highlighted, since it is estimated that both projects together will generate more than 150 thousand direct jobs and 600 thousand indirect jobs.

The logistics center has various mass modes of transportation, providing invaluable connectivity, such as a wide network of road infrastructure based on toll highways that provides access to the main industrial and production areas of the country.

In turn, the airport infrastructure allows connection to 46 countries with which there are trade agreements and rail infrastructure which gives access to the main maritime ports of the country.

Having a logistics platform well located in the peripheral ring that today are the Mexican circuits and the Chamapa-Lechería, which goes around the entire Mexico City, places us in close proximity to CDMX and this allows us to serve the most consumption area importance of the country.

The signing of the T-Mec between the United States, Canada and Mexico marks the ideal time to launch this world-class logistics platform which will be placing Mexico a few steps up in logistics issues as a region, with the ease that the Airport would provide together to the industrial park that projects it even more.

A saving of 30 percent in logistics and delivery costs is expected with the guarantee of incorporating the technological, security and logistics advances required for the transportation and commercialization of merchandise.
