The sixth stage of the Marabis Castro del Río Industrial Park begins

The Marabis Castro del Río Industrial Park, located in Irapuato, Guanajuato, is one of the most successful parks in the region and the country, and this Tuesday began the construction of its sixth stage, with which the growth of this industrial complex is consolidated .

In 150 hectares that make up this new phase, land where the arrival of between 50 and 60 companies is expected, which would mean the generation of approximately 1,800 jobs.

David Pascual Alemany, president of Grupo Marabis, announced that with the industrial complexes developed by the group, the integral growth of the entire community is sought, in addition to supporting with training and certification from the hand of the partners installed in each of the industrial complexes.

He said that they will be providing various services related to sustainability issues, therefore, this park was expanded with spaces for purchase or rent and in this way offer one more option to investors who decide to settle in the municipality.

Mauricio Usabiaga Díaz Barriga, head of the Secretariat for Sustainable Economic Development, celebrated the confidence that the developer of industrial parks in Guanajuato has, since for more than 20 years they have constantly invested in the region contributing to the economic development of the state.

While Takao Makahata, executive director of Jetro Mexico, said that in Guanajuato there are 300 companies and three assembly plants of Japanese origin; in addition to Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers located in this industrial park, of which he recognized its quality infrastructure, as well as its easy and direct access to the main roads. However, he commented that there are challenges to be faced in the automotive industry regarding the T-MEC and the local supply, therefore, the Japanese industry will be the main actor and point of connection with the companies installed in Mexico.

According to Solili, the states of the Bajío area added 92 thousand square meters of new supply in 2Q 2021, which represented 12% of the national, stand out Querétaro with 40 thousand square meters and Guanajuato with 36 thousand square meters of new warehouses industrial.
