The Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (Infonavit) modified the scoring system for the origination of new mortgage loans, so now it will take a thousand 80 points and not 116 as the previous scheme to request it.
But don't panic! The institute directed by Carlos Martínez Velázquez explained that the changes will not imply more requirements, only the review of elements to make the beneficiary eligible for a home loan from him.
"More points do not mean more requirements, but now Infonavit will take into account more factors to evaluate you and not only your age, salary or your savings in the Housing Sub-account," said the official.
In that sense, Martínez Vázquez assured that now getting a loan for the workers will be much easier if the responsibilities of the company and the payments or monthly payments of the workers have been fulfilled in a timely manner.

Among the changes with the scoring system stands out are the prequalification now with 1080 points, your credit report will be evaluated, the compliance of the workers and it will no longer be necessary to have a continuous year working. In addition, the institute will evaluate the worker's job stability to be eligible for the credit.
"If you lose your job, as soon as you resume your working life, Infonavit will no longer ask you for a year of seniority to get a loan, since the rest of your information supports you," said Infonavit.
The new model seeks that no worker ends up with unpayable debts, although it did not specify in more detail the increase in the score for prequalification. He also recommended that workers not allocate more than 30 percent of their salary to pay credit and check their situation in My Infonavit Account.
