The production of light vehicles reached 224 thousand 913 units for December 2024, which meant an increase of 4.17% compared to the same period but from 2023, the accumulated from January to December produced 3 million 989 thousand 403 units, which represents an increase of 5.56% compared to 2023.

Exports in December totaled 265 thousand 954 units, which reflects a decrease of -5.80% compared to the 282,316 registered in December 2023, however, in the annual accumulation, exports of light vehicles reached 3 million 479 thousand 086 units, a growth of 5.40%.

At the end of 2024, General Motors led as the OEM with the highest production and exports in Mexico, manufacturing 23% and exporting more than 830,000 units during the year, Nissan ranked second with 8.8% and exporting 456,000 units.

The companies behind these brands are Stellantis with 419 thousand units produced, 365 thousand exported and in fourth place we find Ford with 386 thousand units manufactured and 379 thousand exported, finally there is Volkswagen with 382 thousand units produced and 326 thousand exported.
