Reportero Industrial Mexicano | February 28, 2025 |

The aerospace industry in our country is expected to reach a value of 3 billion dollars by 2030, which represents an increase of 14.7% compared to what is estimated for 2025, according to data from the German-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Camexa).

Currently, the sector is a key player in the global market, as it has managed to maintain a constant growth trend since the beginning of 2000, which has placed our country as the tenth producer worldwide.

Mexico has managed to take advantage of its strategic location, qualified labor and solid government support to be a supplier of components for the main aerospace companies.

With the new mandate of the United States and its constant threats of imposing tariffs, organizations such as Camexa state that these commercial ideas directly violate the T-MEC that was negotiated during President Trump's first term and that came into force in 2020.

Despite the current scenario, the Mexican Federation of the Aerospace Industry (FE-MIA) considers that the sector will have a growth of more than 10% driven by the demand for aircraft in the short term.
