Impro Precision Industries Limited (Impro), a global manufacturer of high-precision, high-complexity, and mission-critical casting and machining, announced that the microcasting plant, at its production base in Mexico, began production on November 28, 2022.

With this plant, along with the sand casting and precision machining plants, Impro México SLP Campus will help improve the group's global footprint. In addition, the last two plants of phase one, those for aerospace components and those for surface treatment, are expected to enter production in 2023.

As the sixth largest in the world and the largest investment casting manufacturer in China, Impro offers a complete set of vertically integrated value-added solutions in the precision component chain, spanning research and development, tooling design and manufacturing, casting, heat treatment, secondary precision machining services and surface treatment.

By adhering to its 'Global Footprints' and 'Local for Local Manufacturing' strategies, Impro has strategically expanded its production lines to North America. In 2019, Impro began construction of the Impro México SLP Campus on a plot of land of more than 230,000 m2.

The five plants of phase one, located in San Luis Potosí, have a total constructed area of more than 110,000 m2 and will provide services, among others, to the final markets of automobiles, construction and agriculture, high-power engines, hydraulic equipment, aerospace and medical in North America.

The Group now has modern production bases on three continents, which not only gives it greater flexibility in the operation of its business, but also allows it to more effectively reduce potential risks related to the supply chain and tariffs that arise from the geopolitical landscape.
