HL Mando will invest 185 million dollars in a second plant in Coahuila

The Korean company HL Mando announced that it will invest 185.3 million dollars to open a second plant in the municipality of Arteaga, Coahuila. The company has been increasing its presence in the automotive sector due to the quality of its products, since its arrival in the entity in 2015 and currently its first factory is located in the Server Industrial Park of the Arteaga municipality.

The objective of its second plant is to implement its new division in the state, focused on the manufacture of state-of-the-art braking systems. At its number one plant, the firm produces suspension systems and steering systems for light vehicles.

The company has a territorial surface of 105 thousand 600 square meters and the extension that they have projected will be 102 thousand 360 square meters.

Mr. Jung Suk Lee, CEO of the company worldwide, commented that among its main clients are the assembly companies of Hyundai, KIA, General Motors (GM), Ford, Nissan, among others. In the American continent, the company has a presence in the United States, Brazil and Mexico, with Coahuila being the only place where they have operations within the country.

Likewise, the company has among its expectations that the sales of the Coahuila complex reach 989 million dollars by 2027, since in the current year they will be registering 493 of the 6,450 million dollars that they generate worldwide.

Finally, the manager shared that the supply needs of the new factory include stamping, plastic injection, aluminum extrusion, cold forging, among others.
