Hisun invests 152 million dollars in a new plant in Saltillo

With an investment of 152 million dollars, the Chinese company Hisun arrived in Coahuila to produce ATV (all-terrain) vehicles as well as sports and work vehicles.

The governor of this state, Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís, indicated that they estimate to generate 1,500 new jobs with this investment, where the company valued the quality of human capital and the chain of suppliers in Coahuila.

Hisun's president, Jason Sun, was present at the announcement, explaining that the company has more than 15 years in the automotive industry in the United States, manufacturing quality products in the agribusiness, entertainment and sports segments.

The director of the automotive company assured that they will begin their production as of May, manufacturing 5,000 units during the current year, and it is contemplated that by 2024 the figure will increase to 50,000 off-road vehicles.

Riquelme Solís highlighted that in the midst of the health crisis due to COVID-19, to face the situation, the government reinforced the unity that exists with the business sector, thus allowing progress in terms of investment, mainly promoting the qualified workforce.

He also indicated that Coahuila has captured investment projects in the Automotive Cluster and the Furniture Cluster, which will return the supply chain in the southern region of the state.

In this regard, the mayor of Saltillo, José María Fraustro Siller, supported Riquelme Solís by reaffirming that in Coahuila there is a qualified workforce that gives confidence to companies that decide to invest.

"Our Administration seeks to consolidate itself as an ally of entrepreneurs and their investments, so we will take actions to strengthen the attraction of these projects, and we will do what is necessary so that they feel comfortable," said Riquelme Solis.
