Samuel García, governor of Nuevo León, highlighted that said state captures 72% of nearshoring throughout the country, this during his participation in this year's industrial fair in Hannover, Germany.

This is because, in García's opinion, the work on highway, customs and service infrastructure projects was a "key piece" for Tesla to decide to invest in his entity, specifically in Santa Catarina.
He also stated that Mexico has the potential to become the next world center of electromobility, both because of the electric car mega-factory that Tesla will build in Monterrey, and because of the importance of the country among the economies of Latin America, and even worldwide.
"We have the talent, qualified labor, the best universities in Latin America, the border with the United States, and if we put our batteries together, the Government and the private sector, there is nothing to stop us in terms of infrastructure," said the state president.

Additionally, the government of Nuevo León issued a statement, explaining that works such as the modernization of the Colombia Bridge, the modernization of the La Gloria-Colombia highway, as well as the recently inaugurated Periférico de Monterrey, make the entity an attractive place for the nearshoring.
