Grupo PROMA confirmed that it will invest 130 million pesos for the construction of a plant in the San Miguel de Allende Industrial Park. This will be the group's second plant in Mexico, the first is located in Saltillo, Coahuila.
The Italian company manufacturer of automotive components, is specialized in the development and manufacture of structures and mechanisms for seats, body assemblies and front suspension cross members. It is estimated to generate more than 250 direct and indirect jobs for this project.

This announcement was made known by Diego Sinhue Rodríguez, governor of Guanajuato, during his 2021 Investment Attraction Tour in Europe.
The plant in Guanajuato will serve the North American market, particularly the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, United States, with structures for the rear seats of electric vehicles.

Its first stage will be 4 thousand square meters, and in the following two phases it could expand by 4 thousand square meters in each one of them, to reach 12 thousand square meters in total; Therefore, it is projected to start operations in 2022.
