Guanajuato: Bajío market that attracted the highest volume of industrial investments in the year

Gross demand throughout the year was concentrated in the automotive sector and logistics companies, which selected this market because it is the main logistics center in the Bajío area and where a good part of the most important industrial parks in the region are located. .

The largest surfaces, one of 70 thousand square meters on the Irapuato-Abasolo submarket and another two of 25 thousand square meters located on the Silao-Leon submarket, correspond to the automotive sector.

The current administration of Guanajuato reported the arrival of 7 billion dollars in investment at the end of 2023, being one of the most attractive states for companies from Japan, Germany, the United States, China, Canada, South Korea, India, Taiwan, France, among others.

The strong touring activity to show the advantages of this market internationally has borne fruit and in this new year that begins, more than 19 investment projects have already been agreed upon that will begin to be installed in the entity from 2024.

Regarding the level of construction for the beginning of the year, 357 thousand square meters of industrial buildings located mainly on the Silao-León and San Miguel de Allende-San Jose Iturbide corridors continue to advance. Compared to previous periods, we are facing one of the highest built activity, only surpassed by the projects registered in the second quarter of 2022.

The entity will continue to seek more investments outside and within the national territory to join companies such as Furukawa, Denso, Suminoe, Okita, Toyota, Yakazi and Hiho, to name a few, of those that selected this market to establish or expand their operations productive processes during 2023.
