Guanajuato was the state of Bajío that attracted the most foreign automotive investments in 2024, consolidating itself as a pillar in the automotive industry in Mexico, given its solid performance in attracting investments that reflects a total of 1,951.9 million dollars invested in 34 projects of which 13 are directly related to electromobility.
According to Directorio Automotriz, Guanajuato, like Nuevo León, Coahuila and Puebla, continues to lead the attraction of investments due to its advanced infrastructure, qualified labor and excellent location in the country.
Although the outlook is positive, the industry faces challenges derived from the tariff threats imposed by the new president of the United States in his second term, which generates uncertainty in regional and global trade.
