The Secretariat of the Environment (Sedema) of Mexico City announced the modifications made to the Environmental Standard Project PROY-NADF-007-RNAT-2019; which establishes the classification and comprehensive management specifications for construction and demolition waste in the country's capital.
Among the modifications that were made to the project is the fact that the micro generators will not be obliged to present a management plan for construction and demolition waste; but they must keep the delivery-transport-reception manifests that prove the amount generated.
On the other hand, in the case of small and large generators, collection centers, transfer centers, collection and transport service providers, and construction and demolition waste recycling plants, they will be required to submit your waste management plan before Sedema.

The standard has the purpose of contributing to the objectives of the capital government, aimed at generating a circular economy; in which said waste is reincorporated into a value chain that extends its life cycle. As well as minimizing the generation of these and reducing the impacts that are produced by an inadequate disposal.
This rule will also reduce the extraction of virgin raw materials; which will be replaced by recycled materials in non-structural construction elements. And, in the same way, it seeks to promote the proper management of these wastes; as well as guaranteeing its use and its correct final disposal.
