Fibra Uno (FUNO) plans to certify two million square meters of its inventory, which includes office projects and industrial warehouses, by 2025, according to Gonzalo Robina, Deputy General Director and Jorge Pigeon, VP of Markets of FUNO Capital and Relationship, at a press conference.
“With this we are going to double the number of total meters certified in all of Latin America with the ESG certification”, commented Jorge Pigeon.
In this line of commitment, the manager emphasized that at FUNO they try to be friendly to the environment and not only because of income.

"We believe that the market should go there, so we are reconditioning old buildings that were not developed with these practices to be able to certify them and that were acquired by us."
As an example of this, the VP of Capital Markets indicated that Torre Mexicana, which is over 35 years old, is preparing it so that it can obtain the Leed Gold Certification.
In this sense of sustainability, Jorge Pigeon reported that in order to certify an industrial warehouse, companies ask to reduce their energy consumption, in this case that the waste is not greater than 40 percent.

"But our waste is less than 3%, since we have brutal efficiency in the construction process."
Also, Gonzalo Robina indicated that they continue to work on the reconversions of their office buildings, which will be hospitals.
"We are converting 110 thousand square meters, this in response to the lack of hospital infrastructure that allowed us to see the issue of the Covid-19 pandemic."
In relation to this, he stressed that due to the magnitude of Funo, therefore, they were able to react immediately to the reconversions.
