During the first quarter of 2022, Mexican exports continued with an acceleration trend derived from the dynamism shown by the states in the north of the country.
The territories of the northern Mexican border responded to greater external demand from the United States, mainly from the automotive and electronics sectors, industries that compensated for the interruptions in global supply chains and the deficit of semiconductors.
According to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), Mexican exports amounted to 118.325 million dollars in the first three months of the current year, 19% more than in the same period of 2021.
