Ford Motor Company announced that it invested 273 million dollars for its new plant in Irapuato Guanajuato, where its commitment to electrification has been consolidated.

This investment has allowed the American company to modernize its factory now known as Irapuato Electric Powertrain Center (IEPC) to migrate from producing gasoline vehicles to manufacturing primary power units for the Mustang Mach-E, the first 100% electric mass-produced vehicle. made in Mexico

The modernized plant will integrate highly automated processes under the concept of manufacturing 4.0, using real-time connectivity, advanced vision systems, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT) to ensure maximum quality in the production of primary drive units.

These components, which include the stator and rotor, are essential for the operation of the Mustang Mach-E propulsion system, which is exported to more than 41 countries in America, Europe and Australia.
