Mexican exports grew 4% from January to November 2024

A fundamental part of the export drive was achieved by gaining share in imports from the United States, which is Mexico's main export market, with more than 80% of its shipments, specifically in the month of November, driven by non-automotive shipments and the extractive industry.

On the demand side, imports increased 5.1% in November and 4.1% cumulatively, totaling 52 million and 576 million dollars respectively.

For its part, exports of automotive products registered an annual increase of 0.2%, this was derived from the combination of a 4.1% increase in sales channeled to the United States and a 17.2% decrease in those directed to other markets.

In November, with seasonally adjusted figures, total merchandise exports reported a monthly decrease of 0.1%, this resulted from a 0.4% drop in non-oil exports and a 5.8% increase in oil exports.

With seasonally adjusted data, total imports showed a monthly increase of 2.0%, reflecting advances of 1.9% in non-oil imports and 3.0% in oil imports, by type of good, increases of 3.4% were observed in imports of consumer goods, 1.5% in intermediate goods and 4.0% in capital goods.
