In an old Yucatecan materials bank, which became a plot of land with a strategic location, but forgotten by companies, a new way of living is built in Mérida: Estela Norte.
A community created by AMG Developments, and that is committed to sustainability, that seeks to be the first in the world to access certificates and standards on the subject, both for the residences that are built, and for the environment in which they operate. .
"We decided to be more responsible and make the issue of certification. We are the only housing development in the world with SITES certification, which verifies the form of organization or common areas of a project," explains Jorge Alcocer, director of the developer.
In search of being circular and permeating its sustainable philosophy from the laying of the first stone, to the way it will be inhabited, Cálida was created, a program focused on creating community.
The manager explains that it was developed over two years in the hands of specialists in sociology so that coexistence at the site is effective: “we are the first company at the national level with a program with a system to manage communities and have harmony. Estela Norte is a special project for AMG Desarrollos, as it shows the new face of the company and represents a watershed in its history.
