Estafeta builds a new Hub in Mexico with an investment of 350 million pesos

With an investment of 350 million pesos, the logistics company Estafeta laid the first stone of its new hub in Mexico, which is located in the “O'Donnell La Laguna” Industrial Park, in the municipality of Cuautitlán Izcalli, State of Mexico. .

This center will be the largest and most automated of the company in the country and, according to estimates, it is expected that around 310 jobs will be generated and could reach up to 520 jobs in its phase 5.

The new operating center will add 53 thousand square meters in the warehouse and maneuvering yards, 142 cross dock platforms, fully automated and flexible packaging and messaging classification and loading systems for handling e-commerce shipments and maximum guarantees.

From this strategic location, Estafeta will cover 61 cities in the country and will have an initial capacity of 18 thousand shipments per hour. Intralogistics is designed to operate in a modular and scalable way to support the growth of the operation over time.

The new location will be key in the strategy that the company has designed to provide the precise and close attention that customers demand.

"The Covid-19 pandemic triggered the growth of electronic commerce, online sales represent the opportunity for millions of people to start or increase their income, at Estafeta we want to support these initiatives and for this, together with investment in assets, we have been developing new services ”, commented Ingo Babrikowski, CEO of Estafeta.

Its location, in the State of Mexico, is due to the opportunity to make more agile connections with different Estafeta clients and to the optimization of its logistics network that will connect 61 cities in the country in a few hours.
