A survey by the Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (Infonavit) recorded an increase of 2.5 points in the intention to purchase a home by the right holders, in the second quarter of 2021.

The ‘Home and Credit Needs Survey’ registered an increase of 2.5 points in the “Index of Housing Acquisition Intent”, to stand at 36.7 points, compared to the previous quarter.

The foregoing is consistent with the expectations that workers have regarding their job stability and the improvement in their family economy and the country, the institute said in a statement.

The monthly income component with a value of 58.8 points stood out, which, with an increase of 18.9 points, reflects the confidence that workers have about their economic stability and the improvement in their income compared to last year.

In line with the above, the survey revealed that the intention to apply for a loan for the acquisition of a house or land is maintained, compared to the first quarter of this year.
