Rugged Tech, the new subsidiary of Carhartt, will open an IT Support Center with an investment of 42 million pesos in Querétaro, from where it will serve all Carhartt locations in the United States, Mexico, Asia and Europe.

The infrastructure has a Cybersecurity Response Center, an IT Operations Center, as well as specialists in different IT disciplines to support Carhartt operations around the world.
Among the company's plans, as part of its commitment to promote the growth of Mexican talent, is to create an alliance with the education sector to create a special program focused on recent graduates in related careers, and train recent graduates of the IT careers from the main universities of Querétaro, given the worldwide demand of the sector.

So far the company has already hired around 38 associates and they are looking to hire at least 50% more specialists from the main IT disciplines.
