The Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (Infonavit) highlighted that at the end of the first half of the year, a total of 6 million 307,396 workers already met the 1,080 points of the New Origination Model to apply for a loan.
Workers will be able to use the financing to either buy, build, expand or remodel their home, or pay the mortgage they have with another financial institution.
The agency pointed out that as of the implementation of the New T100 Origination Model, the number of beneficiaries who can request a loan has increased.

At this time, a total of 1 million 603 thousand 995 more people meet the prequalification requirements.
This increase is due to the recovery of employment, after the economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. As well as the advantages offered by the new Infonavit scoring system; especially, the reduction in the two-month continuous contribution, which went from six to only three two-month periods.
Infonavit recalled that with the New T1000 Origination Model, reaching the necessary score is easier for workers.

This is because the variables that are considered give more points than in the previous system. Said variables are: quoted two-month periods, integrated daily salary, balance in the Housing Sub-account, age, compliance with employer contributions, job stability, type of worker, line of business and municipality.
