New plant for TE Connectivity is being built in Ciudad Juárez

Some investment projects that were stopped or paused due to the covid-19 pandemic have been reactivated, such as the construction of the third plant of the electronic components supplier TE Connectivity in Ciudad Juárez.

The head of INDEX Juárez, Fabiola Luna, confirmed that the investment has been reactivated and they hope to have this new plant in operation in the first four months of 2022, generating 500 new jobs for the town.

The American company works with a large number of sectors that use electronics, such as energy, medical, automotive, aerospace and telecommunications.

The new plant will be located in the Santiago Troncoso area, in the Intermex park, where one already exists, while the third is located in the Bermúdez Industrial Park.

As reported by Solili at the end of 3Q 2021, the Ciudad Juárez real estate market already exceeds 6.6 million square meters of inventory and construction is progressing close to 266 thousand square meters, with a vacancy that reports 2.58% at the end of September 2021.
