For the first months of 2022, Aguascalientes will have an Aerospace Research Center, which will contribute to generating human capital aimed at serving this economic sector, whose value in 2025 is estimated to be over 225 billion dollars.
This was reported by the State Government when holding a meeting with the Mexican Federation of the Aerospace Industry (FEMIA), who announced the project promoted by the Technological Institute of Aguascalientes (ITA) in coordination with the National Technological Institute of Mexico (TecNM) and the Confederation of Industrial Chambers of the United Mexican States (CONCAMIN).

In this sense, the president of Aguascalientes, Martín Orozco Sandoval, reaffirmed his commitment to the development of the entity in order to place it at the height of global demands and advance in terms of innovation and technology.
Under the previous premise, the head of the executive mentioned that his administration will be actively involved in the formation of the Aerospace Research Center, with the aim of having it ready by early 2022.
For his part, Luis Lizcano, president of FEMIA, said that the complex will serve to prepare human talent to develop aerospace research, one of the sectors targeted by the economic diversification of Aguascalientes.
The director of the organization also stated that the center will train and certify companies of the entity in systems related to this industry.

The installation of an Aerospace Research Center adds another element in the objective of the state administration to move towards economic diversification to balance dependence on the automotive sector.
In this sense, it should be remembered that on his tour of Europe, Orozco Sandoval signed an agreement with Artelia Cal y Mayor to, together with the Ministry of Economic Development (SEDEC), direct at least twenty local suppliers to certify them in the aerospace industry, in addition to promoting the mobility of students and teachers from the Polytechnic University of Aguascalientes to France.
Similarly, in the near future Artelia Cal y Arena and the Airbus company will visit Aguascalientes to observe the technological development of the entity, after the French company has expansion plans outside of Querétaro.
