Elon Musk stops the construction of his Tesla's factory in Nuevo León

Elon Musk announced this Tuesday that he will stop construction of the Tesla vehicle assembly factory that was planned in Nuevo León in northern Mexico. The businessman explained that he will wait for the result of the United States elections in order to decide the better resolution against Donald Trump's initiatives to increase tariffs on Mexico.

The start of work on the Tesla megafactory in Santa Catalina in Monterrey is scheduled for 2026, now its future will be linked to what happens starting in January in the White House.

The Republican candidate has declared on numerous occasions that he will impose tariffs on the import of vehicles manufactured in Mexico, in accordance with his protectionist speech, he is radically opposed to Chinese companies assembling vehicles in the Latin American country and then selling them across the border.
