Despite the entry into force of tariffs on imports by the United States from Mexico and Canada, Howard Lutnick, Secretary of Commerce of the United States, declared that Donald Trump could announce this same day the moderation of the tariffs imposed on Mexico and Canada, with exceptions on specific products.

This statement opens the expectation that the application of tariffs will only be temporary, which is what analysts from various financial institutions agree on, in addition to the fact that the parity of the peso against the dollar could also compensate for part of these tariffs.
