Walmart de México y Centroamérica, announced that it will make an investment of 1,253 million pesos (mp), said capital was already allocated since last September, but it will continue until December 2025.

The multinational company detailed that it will seek to open 45 new centers in 29 municipalities of the State, which includes 43 new stores with the formats of Bodega Aurrera, Bodega Aurrera Express, Mi Bodega Aurrera and Walmart Supercenter.

Likewise, the construction of two last-mile warehouses for electronic commerce will begin, which will provide more than 1,250 permanent direct jobs.

In recent years, the company has made investment plans in this Mexican entity, which in 2022 alone projected a capital injection of 1.9 billion pesos for the opening of 46 stores.

With this investment, the company will exceed 439 stores and clubs throughout the State, in addition to 3 distribution centers, one dedicated directly to e-commerce, which supports the satisfaction and particular needs of each of its customers.
