The transnational firm Draxton, bets again on San Luis Potosí by expanding its production plant in the industrial zone of the capital, in order to meet the demand of its clients in North America, which will generate new jobs.
The Secretary for Economic Development (SEDECO), Arturo Segoviano; the municipal president of the capital, Enrique Galindo; the president of the board of directors of Grupo Industrial Saltillo (GIS), Juan Carlos López Villarreal and the general director of GIS, Manuel Rivera, to give the initial banner of the works in the expansion of the capacity of this production center.

Jorge Rada, operations director of GIS indicated that the expansion of the Draxton plant represents an investment of 30 million dollars.
The expansion seeks to increase the production of calipers, brackets, highly complex and safety parts for vehicle brake systems, with the arrival of more than 600 thousand tons of cast iron per year globally.
For his part, Juan Carlos López, president of the GIS board of directors, commented that currently there are plants such as Draxton, Vitromex and Cinsa in Potosí lands and that they generate more than 1,500 direct collaborators, thanks to the fact that the state promotes investment and promotes the conditions necessary for industrial development.

Draxton is a global company dedicated to the casting and machining of components for brake, engine and chassis systems for the automotive industry, with operations in six countries in Europe, Asia and North America.
In Mexico, it has plants strategically located in San Luis Potosí, Guanajuato and Coahuila.
With this new foundry line, Draxton will increase its installed capacity to 30 thousand tons per year, and thus achieve a little more than 620 thousand tons per year through the different factories that it has globally.
