As a first step, they will install a system of 1,126 solar panels to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions during the first year by around 7,400 tons, equivalent to the annual energy use of 933 homes.
The project was announced at the facilities of the Prologis Park Izcalli industrial complex, together with the client of the Prologis Real Estate Investment Trust, CEVA Logistics.
Once this first phase is completed, the installation of more than 110,000 additional solar panels is planned, which would allow an estimated reduction of more than 2.1 million tons of CO2.
