Denso expands with third extension in Guanajuato Puerto Interior

Denso inaugurated the third expansion of its plant located in Guanajuato Puerto Interior, which consists of a total land of 266 thousand square meters and for its development it had an investment of 9.8 million dollars.

With this injection of capital from the Japanese company, the objective is to increase its production capacity, which is why they will be generating more than 200 new jobs.

The expansion is designed as a "bright and green plant" thanks to its facilities that coexist with the environment with a positive impact and consists of 40,262 square meters of construction and 18,000 square meters of building.

Denso is a company dedicated to the manufacture of automotive systems and components, and its main clients include Toyota, Honda, Ford, GM, Chrysler, Nissan and Volkswagen.

The plant installed in Silao, Guanajuato, began operations in 2013 and to date has 1,800 employees, who participate in the manufacture of air conditioners, radiators, alternators and windshield wiper systems.

Denso is headquartered in the city of Kariya, Japan and began operations 26 years ago in Mexico. It currently has two plants in the state of Nuevo León and two in Guanajuato, one in Irapuato and the other in Silao.

Denso's commitment to society has led to its business activity incorporating social projects with external entities, such as volunteer activities in conjunction with the DIF and IMSS, donations to schools and reforestation, among others. On May 28, 2019, the DENSO Business Nursery was inaugurated.

In five years, Guanajuato has accumulated 105 investment projects for 4,549.2 million dollars and 39,403 committed jobs. Which means 90.98% of the six-year goal of 5,000 million dollars to attract investments.
