Denso invests 9.8 million dollars for its expansion in Guanajuato

Automotive manufacturing grows in Guanajuato. Today the Governor of the State, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, presided over the start-up ceremony of the third expansion of the Denso México company, the Silao plant.

With the laying of the first stone, Denso begins the construction of a new warehouse that will have an initial investment of 9.8 million dollars, where equipment will be stored to satisfy the needs of its customers. Thus, Denso's investment in Guanajuato and job creation will increase.

In Guanajuato, Denso found development and opportunities, added the Governor, that is why it was assertive when establishing itself in Bajío, and the proof is that it continues to grow with its plant in Silao and Irapuato.

For their part, Denso executives thanked the state government for its support to continue with investments that detonated in jobs and the state's economy. Present were Yoshiki Ishihara, DENSO Vice President, Bajío Region; Hiromasa Hakamada, President of DENSO Mexico and virtually Seiji Maeda, President of DENSO North America.

Denso is a Japanese company in the automotive sector; It has 4 plants in Mexico, two of them are in Guanajuato, the first since 2014; is a leading provider of automotive technology components and systems to companies including Toyota, Honda, Ford, GM, Chrysler, Nissan and Volkswagen.

At its Silao plant it manufactures radiators, alternators, tanks and spray systems for windshield washer fluid, devices that separate cold from hot air in vehicle air conditioning (H-Vac).

Japan is the first investment partner of the State with 117 companies installed in Guanajuato, which add more than 6,116 million dollars of investment and 43,981 jobs committed.

According to Solili, the states of the Bajío area in 2Q 2021, added 92 thousand square meters of new supply that represented 12% at the national level, stand out Querétaro with 40 thousand square meters and Guanajuato with 36 thousand square meters of new industrial ships.
