In a significant announcement during the celebration of its 50 years of operations in Mexico, Danone revealed its investment plans for a total of 100 million euros (mde) in the country by 2024. The company, recognized by emblematic brands such as Danonino and Bonafont, detailed that this investment will be intended to promote and consolidate its operations in Mexican territory, without specifying in detail in which sectors these resources will be directed.

The announcement is part of a year in which Danone has introduced new features in its product offering, such as entering the plant-based milk market with its new Bye Bye Muu line. In addition, the firm highlighted the presentation of an eco-friendly bottle for Bonafont, made with recycled material and without labels. However, the company has not specified what other products could reach the Mexican market during the course of the year.

During 2023, Danone experienced sustained growth, although the company did not reveal specific figures on the increase in sales. This positive performance is partly attributed to the return to offices and schools, which has generated a favorable impact on demand for its products.

Despite the uncertainties associated with an election year, the company plans to maintain constant growth in 2024. Emphasizing business resilience, Aguilar commented: "With elections or without them, we work and evolve. The challenge will always be to overcome the electoral processes, but companies continue doing what we know how to do: produce, generate employment, put our products on the shelves and take them to people's homes.
