Daido Metal Mexico plans to expand in Jalisco

The Japanese firm promotes a new project to build a die casting factory where they will carry out pressure casting.

Joel Iñiguez Guerrero, logistics supervisor and assistant to the Sales Management of Daido Metal México, announced that they intend to expand the plant in Jalisco, to add a die casting factory.

"The place where our plant is located has a lot of space, we have a future project that we are still working on to create another factory for what would be die casting, many companies are looking for it, it is not very common in Mexico," he explained.

Daido Metal has a sister company in Thailand, where a die casting factory is located and the intention is to carry out this type of process in Mexico.

“We have a sister company but it is in Thailand, the problem there is transfers, costs, so many people are not encouraged, but because of the comments we have been receiving, we are trying to pressure our mother company in Japan to we can build a die casting factory”, highlighted Joel Iñiguez Guerrero, logistics supervisor and assistant to the Sales Management of Daido Metal México.

The director explained that die casting or pressure casting is one of the industrial processes for the formation of materials that began to be in demand in the country.

“It is like a metal mold, you have a mold, you put aluminum in it and it makes the shape as such of whatever it is you are asking me for, usually what you see at the base of the cars, at the top, so regular is die casting, what is done is like an aluminum injection and the shape of the product comes out at the end”, he affirmed.

The Daido Metal Mexico plant opened in 2013 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, marking 10 years of manufacturing various types of bearings, including almost a third of all automotive engine bearings and half of all automotive engine bearings. large ship engines from 2021.
