Confidence in the current situation in the country grows among business executives, especially in construction and commerce, during September, according to Inegi data.

The Manufacturing Business Confidence Indicator decreased 0.1 points in September compared to August.

While the ICE of construction grew 1.8 points and that of commerce 1.1 points in the same period, according to data from the Inegi National Institute of Statistics and Geography.

The results come from the Monthly Survey of Business Opinion, which allow knowing, almost immediately after the end of the reference month, the opinion of business managers in the manufacturing, construction, trade and non-financial private services sectors, on the economic situation of the nation and its companies.

In the annual comparison, the ICE showed an increase of 12.8 points for trade, that of manufacturing rose 10.4 points and that of construction 8.1 points during September 2021.

Among other metrics, the manufacturing ICE showed a monthly decline in the ‘right time to invest’ indicator of 0.6 points, reaching 36.2 points and accumulating 98 months below the 50-point threshold.

On the other hand, the indicator that expresses the confidence of manufacturing companies regarding the current economic situation of the country increased 1.6 points and reached 50.7 points.
