Next year, CorruEmpaques will open two new plants in Guadalajara and Puebla, which will complement its four current offices, three of them in Querétaro (Querétaro, San Juan del Río and El Marqués) and one in Aguascalientes, which occupy an area of more than 15 thousand square meters, announced its general director Yair Caballero.
The aim is to double the company's current production capacity, equivalent to 1,500 tons of cardboard per month, and get closer to its customers, since the associated companies are located in different parts of the Mexican Republic; however, the constant mobilization of goods has led the solutions of the company from Queretaro outside the national territory.

These openings will allow the company to meet the new trends that they foresee in current and future consumption, driven by electronic commerce and the respective shipment of goods that it generates.
However, the clients that historically demand the solutions of this company the most are located in the manufacture of auto parts, but the pandemic altered this condition, giving a boost to e-commerce where CorruEmpaques has seen the demand for its products grow.
“The pandemic was an interesting year, many businesses lowered their consumption, many of the clients we had went down, but others went up. Now we make boxes for hospital beds, for heart devices and a lot for food grade.” highlighted
“From 2018 to here, companies like Amazon grew 120%, with only their cardboard consumption, the increase in demand is abysmal. Amazon is using about a million and a half boxes a day”, considered the CEO.

These movements in consumption habits and the demand for packaging from the medical sector offset the low demand reported by the automotive industry, explained the interviewee. Now, the challenges are different, since the market was not prepared for the growth of home deliveries, which has caused basic supplies such as cardboard to become scarce and more expensive.
This year looks more complicated because there is a worldwide lack of inputs, in all aspects, wood, cardboard, metals, ships, transportation, containers. We have a 20% deficiency in recycling in Mexico, we are not able to recycle enough to recycle more paper. There is not enough cardboard to sell more, declared Yair Caballero.
CorruEmpaques dates back to 1993 and offers engineering, reengineering, design and production services for packaging and cardboard boxes for different industries.
