South and Southeast industrial submarkets drive demand in Ciudad Juárez

After two consecutive quarters in which industrial demand was positioned below 47 thousand square meters, with the shortage of energy supply as a determining factor, Ciudad Juárez shows signs of recovery at the end of the first quarter of 2024. In this period , industrial demand has exceeded 55 thousand square meters, signaling a positive expectation in the city's industrial activity.

During the first three months of the year, Ciudad Juárez registered a gross industrial demand that exceeds 55 thousand square meters, although it has not yet reached the levels reported in the same period of the previous year, this value represents a significant increase of 71% compared to the last quarter of 2023. This growth was mainly driven by the South and Southeast submarkets of the city.

During the period from January to March, Ciudad Juárez ranked third in terms of industrial demand among the Northern markets, being preceded by Monterrey and Saltillo, which occupy the first two positions, respectively.

The South and Southeast submarkets stood out as the main drivers of industrial demand in Ciudad Juárez. Specifically, the South stood out by accounting for more than 67% of the total demand, while the Southeast represented the remaining percentage of industrial activity in the region.

Speaking of the sectors that were established in the quarter, the companies that chose to invest in the Southern submarket are dedicated to the logistics and manufacturing sector. Of these, the manufacturing sector stood out by securing a space that exceeds 25 thousand square meters, consolidating itself as the most notable closing of the quarter in terms of volume of industrial space in the Ciudad Juárez region.

The industrial outlook for Ciudad Juárez during the first quarter of 2024 reflects an encouraging outlook, despite ongoing challenges arising from energy supply shortages. Industrial demand, driven by the South and Southeast submarkets, suggests a possible recovery in the region.
