Continental will inaugurate its plant located in the FINSA industrial park in Aguascalientes, after the announcement of its arrival in the entity in November 2018.
Ina Seterbakken, director of the Continental plant, pointed out that having arranged the building even in the midst of the pandemic represents a lot of concrete effort, of the two hundred people who already work here.
The factory will supply the North American automotive market, currently it has six clients to whom it will supply various electronic components.
Its main products are: smart antenna modules, lighting control units, telematic control units, door control units, vehicle control panels, among others, all of them oriented towards the future of mobility.

The plant has established eleven production lines with 197 machines installed, but they estimate to double this number by next year.
One of the differentiators of the Continental Aguascalientes plant is its firm commitment to sustainability.
The complex will operate with the LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Gold Level certification, awarded by the US Green Building Council: one of the highest international distinctions for those buildings that operate with the highest sustainability standards.
One aspect to highlight is that the building is plastic free and it also installed a photovoltaic system to supply energy to the factory and thus reduce the emission of polluting gases into the atmosphere, this in line with the zero carbon dioxide emissions plan for 2050 maintained
by the international corporation.
Another of the distinctive elements of the plant is its organizational philosophy, more oriented to collaborative and horizontal work, away from a hierarchical and vertical vision.

In Aguascalientes, a strong association is maintained with the educational ecosystem through agreements with the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes, and other educational centers in the area.
Likewise, the director of the Continental plant participates actively with the engineering departments of the diverse universities in the state to collaborate in the conformation of the study plans.
With 21 plants spread over 12 states of the Republic, Continental has reaffirmed its confidence in the entities in which it has settled through continuous expansion projects, although for now it does not plan any expansions.
