With 55 investment projects in the portfolio, Querétaro starts in 2023

The Querétaro Secretariat for Sustainable Development will start in 2023 with 55 projects in the portfolio, with an investment of 95 thousand 600 million pesos. These projects correspond mainly to the automotive, food and beverage sectors, among others. The United States and national companies are the main stakeholders in investing in the state, as indicated by Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, Secretary of Sustainable Development of the state.

This year, 47 projects were completed that will generate 13,996 jobs in the medium term, with an investment of 26,000 million pesos. In 2021, 31 projects were completed. And in 2023, they are seeking to attract advanced manufacturing companies with a significant degree of innovation and technology in order to add value to the economy.

In addition to this, it seeks to promote Small and Medium Enterprises, which represent 98% of the state's economic units, since one of their constant requirements is to increase their sales. To this end, various business meetings were held in 2022 to bring supply closer to demand.

The state's economic activity in 2022 shows a positive balance in various indicators, such as GDP, FDI, employment and exports, the secretary explained.

The economic activity of the state grew 5.7% in the second quarter of 2022, a percentage higher than the national average of 1.8%, where secondary and tertiary activities showed a greater recovery.
